Tommie Lester is the founder and President of Next Step Medical Consulting, Inc. She brings over twenty years of clinical, management, and consulting experience in Orthopedic, Medical/Surgical, Pediatric, Psychiatric, Rehabilitation, and Geriatric healthcare services. She is a Certified Legal Medical Consultant.

She is a registered Nurse licensed in New York, Missouri, Illinois and Arizona.

She has functioned as administrator in hospital, home health and long term care settings. She has an extensive career in managed care employed by insurance companies as well as national health care providers.

She is the co-founder of the National Case Management Association and expert clinician for development of certification examination. Her experience includes working closely with attorneys and physicians on cases involving issues related to worker 's compensation, personal injury, medical malpractice, elder law and mental health issues.

Tommie has worked for the Federal Government reviewing physician's records for standards of medical practice compliance, and with attorneys investigating fraud and abuse of billing practices including adherence to government mandated corporate compliance. Her positions include vice president of quality assurance and clinical operations for two national health care providers as well as regional director for case management for Cigna Insurance.
